Soil Solutions was contracted to provide a cost-effective in-situ chemical fixation for MIT's new Lansdowne Street Housing project impacted with TCLP Lead-impacted soils.

The scope of the project included: bench-scale testing to determine the appropriate reagent and dose, mobilization of specialized chemical process equipment, application of the chemicals, confirmation analyses, and off-site transportation and disposal to an out-of-state lined Subtitle D landfill.

Soil Solutions successfully treated 7,300 tons of RCRA Hazardous waste to RCRA Non-Hazardous waste.

Treatment was performed in-situ using one (1) foot lift with surface tilling to achieve proper reagent contact and distribution.
